Netherlands UEFA European Mini bike Championship p1.
August 10, 2007 in Shtadskanaal (Netherlands), been started first mini bike training race, of the third UEFA European Mini bike Championship final.
Two top teams from Russia also have arrived - the leader of the Russian Championship "Affect Motion" supporting by "Motoakademy" and "St. Petersburg Pocket Bike club.
From North capital of Russia, another crew with Ivan Kurenbin and Nikita Bobikin – who’s last year, took the 2nd and 1st place in Russian Pocket bike Championship, has paved the way through Finland – then sailed on the ferry to Germany, and then 700 km. to track.
For Moscow pilots Dmitry Mishchenko and Sergei Surnakina the trip was more stressful, in transit via Belarus, Poland, Germany - only 2400 km. On Thursday evening, Moscow's members were already on the track – take a walk around the track, talking with the organizers. Ivan and Nikita arrived in Stadskanaal at night, and settled in a hotel in the heart of the city.
On Friday at 10:15am has started the first training race. The leaders, of course, were Italians and Dutch. Is the first few minutes Russian pilots were looking for a new path for themselves in new track. In the middle of the day, all the riders was riding on a European level - some slower, some faster. It is worth to notice that in the first second, as dozens of pilots from various countries, Russian guys still rides with a margin of 3 seconds on the circle of leadership, but improving their results with each circle.
Such sharp turns with decreasing radius, consuming much energy, so that day to take more than 6 exercises is really not easy, but that was the end of training day anyway, so organizers let on the track those who did not participate in the European Championship. In the 18-00 local time, the participants were registered, in the 19-00 inspection, all that was done, so riders were focus on track, and not on paperwork, when the race will start. By late afternoon all riders sat in boxes of the opposing team to share invaluable experience of participating in pocket bikes competitions.
Saturday - the first official day of the final stage of European Championship. Organization is peefect, all goes exactly in accordance with the schedule.
Pocket Bike History part 2
Also in mid-80’s was born concept of Pocket Bike, which is now used by all European manufacturers. Today, dozens of companies engaged in production of Pocket Bikes. Most of them are located in Europe: SG (Italy), Blata (Czech), Bianchi (France), GEM (Great Britain), GRC, Pasini, Polini, DM, Stamas, ZPF, Vittorazi, ATM, I-Esse. Difference between these companies is not only in brand, the difference may be the same as that of big motorcycles of different brands - the engine, the concept of frame and cladding.
Because of economic reasons, in mini-bikes usually uses two-stroke engine. It is very simple - the crankcase, crankshaft, cylinder with a piston, carburetor, ignition is the simplest and the centrifugal clutch (like in scooter). Only in water-cooled pocket bikes manufactures add another pump, radiator and expansion tank. It even starts as a chain saw -by cord.
Capacity of engine in pocket bikes from 30 to 50 cm3. In Europe, these kind of engines produce by Polini, BZM, Pasini, ZPF

and Blata. Their power varies from 1.5 to 16 HP.
Pocket bike brake system is- disc brakes. In brake system only supports have unusual look. They are held in not by hydraulics, but by a rope (like a bicycle). This is not only just to reduce the cost, but also to facilitate the entire brake system.
Because of these same reasons in pocket bikes there are no suspension, front wheel is rigidly fixed to the fork, as well as rear - firmly attached to the frame.
Rigid frame – is bail of motorcycle controllability, so in mini bikes it’s performed as in "big" bikes: it’s diagonal aluminum alloys, or chrome-molybdenum tubes.
Pocket bike wheels are various sizes (from 4 "to 6.5") and tires of different composition. Tires is very important for competition, so manufactures are treated that part with great care. Pocket bikes tires mostly made by PMT, Sawa, and Uhtan companies.
But let’s return to racing competition. Mini bikes racing have a considerable list of names and recognized masters of motorcycle sport. Many of them are receiving excellent racing training, and then succeed in other forms of motorcycle sport. Valentino Rossi, Marco Melandri, Shinya Nakano, Manuel Podzhiali and many others, passed through mini bikes and still are pocket bikes fans.
Low price and low operating prices - making the mini-moto race one of the most attractive sports these days. After all, mini bike race track can be placed on any impervious surface area. Participation in such competitions, cheaper than in a kart - about 4 times.
Participation of young people in such competitions, is quite possible.
Speaking of age,- there is no age limit for those who wish to ride pocket bikes!
All that makes it very easy to learn this sport. So get your butt up, choose the pocket bike in our www.bikehost.com store you like, and go get them!
Pocket Bike History part 1
Motorcycle racing is impossible to observe, you can only attend on them: many kilometer race track and high speed motorcycle - do not give to viewers complete enjoy of the pilots straggle . Fans of bike racing, usually gathered at the start line or at one of the turns and patiently waiting for the leader.
But if you want to see a rac
e from start to finish, you can watch classic motorcycle race in the television broadcast, or visit the mini bike (pocket bike) competition.
In this form of motorcycle sport, - speed, of course, is not like in “big races” but not because the pocket bikes are slow.
Ratio of mini-bike engine to the weight, the same as in the best full size racing motorcycles.
But in the construction of pocket bikes there’s no springs and shock absorbers. So at the high speed mini-bikes may lose contact with the road, and rider can lose control. Therefore, areas where competitions are held (in order to speed limits) do not have too long straight sections.
But even on such tracks, pocket bikes reach speed up to 120 km/h! On motorcycles with such a low-slung, rider feel speed very sharp, on a tough turns, pilot must have skills as much as full size racing pilot have.
When and how was born first mini-bike, - now it’s hard to say.
But people desire to reduce motorcycle approximately coincided with the appearance of the carting. Some enthusiasts to made mini-bikes, supplied them with engines from washing machines and various power equipment. In t 60s, some manufacturers have developed low-volume production of mini-bikes, and in 1965 was start of the first amateur min-bike race. Unfortunately that type of racing was not that popular as kart racing was at the time. Probably that was due to lack of special asphalt surfaces and rules for these races.
The real history of pocket bikes began 10 years later. “Moto-giant” Japan realized the necessity of mini motorcycles, and in April 1975, the Fuki Planning Company (specializing in the production of mopeds), has developed mass production of pocket bikes called “Bullet”
One year later, in the vicinity of Tokyo launched the first mini-motorcycle championship. Following the "Bullet" Japan began to create other pocket bike brands such as - "Jaxson", "Dandy", "Shinwa". Soon the “mini-bike-mania” has reached the Europe, more specifically - to Italy.
In the mid-80's, Italian Motorcycle Federation, established the Italian Cup on Japanese (!!!) pocket bikes. Soon, however, Pauline brothers, considering the power of the Japanese mini-bikes are not high enough, begin to release a whole range of mini-bikes “Dream Bike”. Unlike the Japanese, who are still using engines from lawn mowers, Italians release specially designed engine for pocket bikes.
Mini moto history
Minibikes(pocket bikes) was born in the 60-ies in Japan manufacturers of kart, in the form of a smaller copies of a real motorcycle with an engine installed on from the lawn. The official year of minibikes birth assumed in 1975, when the Japanese firm Fuki Planning (Yokohama) has established a mass production of Mini Motorcycle (Mini bikes).First Championship of minibike racing was In 1976, in the vicinity of Tokyo.
Time passed, and fun little bikes "stepped" outside of Japan and began to conquer the hearts of Europeans and U.S. residents. In the mid-80's in Italy began the official minimoto racing championship , and Italy itself has become one of the world's leading manufacturers of minimotos. Now to made a minibike - manufacturers use specially–minibike-made mini engines, calculate the stiffness of the frame, install water-cooling, etc. In the end, "Minibike" turns into a full mini motorcycle, and ceases to be a "frame with wheels and engine."
Despite on a small size, Mini Bike - is not just a toy for kids! Because there is a different types of minibikes, from the weakest couple "horses" model with air cooling and designed either for children, or for those who are just taking first steps in minimoto, to serious water cooled bikes with 14-20 HP and speed up to 120 km / h! Ratio weight/power on the top models is the same as in real sports bikes! This Minibike requires rider’s ability to control, attention, concentration and qualifications.
Riding pocket bike is unforgettable!, – rider sitting at a distance of 20-30 cm from the ground, when you cornering, your knee draws on the asphalt, the rate even at 50-60 km / h is seen as prohibitive, lack of suspension adds thrill!
In recent years, Mini Dirt Bikes and Mini Choppers, become very popular , which are mostly for kids, but adults also joy to ride those.
The most affordable and suitable pocket bikes is from China. They are relatively inexpensive, have low and medium power, inexpensive to maintain. Almost any parts for them, including tuning and accessories are available these days. Perfect choice to learn - how to ride a Pocket Bike and see whether you need it or not at all.

Pocket bikes are so powerful, that in the case of incorrect posture and nerve gas treatment, can throw out a rider. Therefore minibike rider instantly learn the rule - during intensive crackdown is necessary to lean more forward, bending the elbows to the maximum "load" the front part of a bike.
This one is important - Be sure to use the front and rear brakes simultaneously. It is very greatly increases the efficiency of inhibition, and reduces the braking distance. And during the race drive, using the both brakes you can brake much later.
To ensure the correct trajectory when cornering the rider should pull all body inside, and using pulling the foot on the outer footrest of the bike. This technique helps when you riding at high speed to pass turns with a smaller radius.
There is a one oldest rule in this sport-don’t ever look anywhere but road! Minibike riding very well coached this aspect. Since the tracks are designed for those little bikes are composed mainly of turns, very quickly develop a habit to watch as it turn on, that is not on the entry and exit from it.

As soon as you stop thinking about how to stop falling, and start go faster and faster, the greatest fun is begin.
The fact that you afraid to ride on a big motorcycle, will easily be obtained.
Answer yourself honestly to one question: do you use front brake before the turn so late and hard that your bike started to slide? Or at the exit of the turn, you start to pull the gas so hard that bike started to slip a bit?
On minibike You can do this all day, with each turn, more and more use of the potential adhesion with asphalt.
